iThe evening

Coral light, walls of red roses and a stage for the performances. Before any of it began, there was time for portraits.

He joined her in black and silver embroidery. A white wall, a carved bench, and a little stillness before the music started.

By the entrance, a wall of red roses and a neon sign. Everyone stopped there for a picture; the two of them stopped longest.

vThe performances

Then they took the front row and let everyone else perform. Many of my favourite frames are of the two of them watching, laughing at the people they love.

Later the lights went down and the floor filled. I slowed the shutter and moved with them, so the pictures blur the way the night did.
